Our very last wedding of 2019 was a truly special one! Tammaryn and Shaun were the most incredible clients to work with and setting up on the beautiful (if not a little rainy) banks of the Vaal River was definitely a highlight for our team!
The couple decided to wed at the incredible Pont de Val with it’s towering blue gum trees and jaw-dropping view of the river in all its glory. The colour palette would be soft and romantic, comprising of shades of blush pink, green and white and the date was set for Sunday, 8th December 2019.
The weekend of the wedding rolled around and the weather forecast showed relentless rain and a chill in the air. Nevertheless, we set up the ceremony down the beautiful steps to the riverbank and installed a beautiful floral circular arch made up of Penny Gum, Gypsophila, blush Rose and King Proteas for the “I do’s”. Unfortunately, the weather would ultimately drive the ceremony indoors, but it was just as spectacular, and the rain certainly wouldn’t dampen the gorgeous couple’s spirits. The bridal party carried stunning white, green and blush bouquets and soft bunches of gypsophila were tied to the chairs along the aisle ready to welcome the beautiful bride. Petal baskets brimming with fresh rose petals were thrown to congratulate the special couple.
The reception tables were long, natural raw wood (full of character and charm) which we laid green and floral runners down the length of. The runners were full of beautiful fresh blooms and we added in some rose gold geometric candle holders, loads of clear glass holders with votive candles and rose gold rimmed glass base plates and crisp white linen napkins to finish the look. Finally, two big arrangements were set alongside the delicious harvest table for the guests to enjoy and jars of flowers were scattered around the venue creating an effortlessly romantic feel.
Tammaryn and Shaun – may you be abundantly blessed in your beautiful life together – what an honour it was doing your wedding, thank you.
