On a very warm Saturday on the last weekend in November, Jordan-Leigh and Rafael said their ‘I do’s’ in front of 240 special family and friends on the De Hoek grounds.
The beautiful bride came to see us towards the beginning of the year and what struck us most about her was her grace, how relaxed she was and her very clear vision for the day. She was absolutely thrilled with the mock-up we did and so we eagerly counted down until the 30th November nuptials.
The ceremony took place outside the Garden Pavilion under a beautiful arch we put together with swishes of green and regal white proteas. The bride (an absolute vision) carried a gorgeous cascading bouquet with the bridesmaids carrying colourful bouquets. The groom had a simple white rose buttonhole, with greenery for the groomsmen. The white tiffany chairs along the aisle had green bunches tied to them and huge silver tubs of fresh rose petals awaited the momentous ‘I now pronounce you husband and wife’. Industrial-style tables were set up for the cocktails and the pond was strewn with floating petals.
A large glass marque on the lush lawns of De Hoek would hold the incredible wedding reception. The colour palette was rustic warm orange tones, with emerald green and white. Incorporating proteas and pincushions was one wish Jordan-Leigh had, so we added those in alongside cluster roses, chinks and loads of lush emerald greens. We created long floral table runners which really popped on the raw wood tables from So Where 2 Events. The tables were laid with simple elegant glassware, glass baseplates with a rose gold edging, crisp white linen napkins and a special touch by the bride of a ceramic tile for each guest as their ‘thank you’. Fields of Colour made wooden servers for all the food to be placed on, instantly creating a more relaxed and family-feel, whilst being largely interactive. We added in lots of white candles on thin rose gold candlesticks and placed votives in rose gold geometric holders – no two tables were quite the same but were equally as exquisite. The ceiling was draped with lush greenery garlands giving the space an enchanted feel.
Jordan-Leigh and Rafael, you’re no longer two, but one – we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness, adventures and good health, thank you for choosing us!
