On one of the coldest days of the year, in one of the coldest parts of the country, Hannah and Kyle celebrated their wedding with all of their nearest and dearest, and not even the weather could dull their spirits. The couple tied the knot on the 20th July 2019 at the stunning Haycroft Farm in the Natal Midlands. You may remember this bride from the Hen and Chicken bridal shower we arranged before the wedding – check out the blog here – so we literally felt so attached to this wedding and gorgeous family.
The couple came to us with one request – to incorporate hues of purples, pinks, blues and whites. A team of three (plus an event-coordinator/florist in the making at the age of 6) loaded up the van and made the trip down to Howick. To say it was packed to the tilt would be an understatement, but the excitement of creating Hannah and Kyle’s dream wedding was palpable.
From the unity candles, to all the exquisite bridal bouquets, the sprigs of lavender on the napkins, the floral door arch, wreath and suspended floral ‘chandeliers’, boutonnieres and flower girl flower crown – Fields of Colour did it all, and with so much love. Hydrangeas, tulips, irises, roses, penny gum, lavender, lisianthus, delphiniums, latifolia and stocks were among the flowers and greenery chosen to create this wonderland. Flowers were organically arranged in varying sized vases along the table, low enough to not obstruct the conversation from across the table. The tables twinkled with fairy lights in glass bottles and pops of rose gold were brought in with the many geometric candle holders around the venue, adding to the magic of the night.
The end result was just what we had hoped for, nothing short of spectacular, with beautiful clusters of blooms enhancing the natural beauty of the venue. This was the most exquisite venue to work at, we always love to experience new venues! Hannah and Kyle were a dream to work with (and what a vision they looked on the day!) and it was just such a joy to be a part of their incredibly special day.
A special message from the bridal couple:
“Fields of Colour were most definitely the easiest provider we have ever worked with. Lee was so loving and patient with my millions of questions (and neurotic emails) and took to the planning and design as if it were her own wedding. The end result was incredible, it was truly more than we could of ever imagined. The ladies pulled everything together so seamlessly, not forgetting any little detail. We received so many compliments after the wedding and the photos do not do it justice. It will forever be etched in our memories. We have already recommended them to some friends and family and will always use them for any of our flower and décor needs in the future. Thank you, ladies, for being such an integral part of our special day”
Hannah and Kyle, thank you for choosing us. We wish you an abundance of love and many many happy years.
